Every citizen of Estonian and any person living in Estonia on the basis of a residence permit has the right to sign up to the list of patients seen by a family doctor or to change the family doctor on the basis of an application that the person submits to the family doctor. Each family member must submit a separate application.
Newborns in Estonia are automatically registered on the patient list of the child’s mother’s general practitioner. An application for registration of the child on a different GP’s patient list is only necessary if a GP other than the mother’s GP is desired for the child.
The patient list is full. Only familymembers of current patients can be added.
You can fill out and submit the application in English. It is not necessary to do it in Estonian.
